Just Lips: Celebrity Lip Sync
The Justice Foundation of West Michigan has held a Just Lips: Celebrity Lip Sync in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2012. The event is highly entertaining, and allows local celebrities, attorneys, and judges a chance to ham it up on stage. Thanks to our sponsors, our talented participants, our wonderful volunteers, and everyone who bought a ticket to the event, the Justice Foundation raised over $15,000 at the 2012 Just Lips: Celebrity Lip Sync. We are hoping that the 2014 Just Lips event will be even more successful.
Justice Foundation Benefit Dinner
The Justice Foundation Benefit Dinner is a black-tie optional dinner with a motivational speaker, chosen to inspire our members and members of the general public. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and funds for the Justice Foundation of West Michigan. In January 2007, Detroit author Mitch Albom, gave the first biennial Benefit Dinner speech, and signed books after the Dinner. In 2008, the Justice Foundation's supporters were treated to a motivations presentation and performance by Dr. Ronan Tynan, a member of the Irish Tenors and and testament to overcoming disability. In January of 2011, we welcomed "The Capitol Steps" for an evening of political satire. Our next Benefit Dinner will be in the winter of 2013.
The Justice Foundation of West Michigan, the charitable giving arm of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, embodies the commitment of the legal profession to community service. When you contribute to the JFWM, you help to improve the lives of those in need. With your support, the JFWM will continue to serve justice and help people. The Justice Foundation distributes funds to local programs providing legal services to the disadvantaged; to youth programs and projects serving to educate our youth on democracy, freedom, and the U.S. Constitution; and to increase support for educational programs and services for those serving individuals with special needs.
